Voter Reaction To Indiana Primary Mixed

First time voters are paying attention to primaries in other states.

Taylor Dorfman said he liked Ted Cruz the best, but will vote for Trump now that Cruz dropped out. Dorfman said he is a bit worried Trump may say something that could cost him the race, but he likes his business acumen.

“My politics more align with Cruz, but Trump is talking with the side I care about, specifically foreign policy and jobs, I like what he has to say on that front, so I’m Happy,” said Dorfman.

Miko Tollefson said she is excited to vote for the first time, too. I’m planning to vote for Bernie Sanders and yeah this is my first time voting ever.”

Some longtime voters seemed dismayed by Trumps victory.

John and Muriel Ridland said they are appalled by his rise.

“It feel as if democracy is fragile and we are attacking it,” Muriel Ridland said.

Gregory Gandrud has met most of the candidates. Gandrud said he met Donald Trump at the Republican Convention in Burlingame, last Friday. The former regional GOP vice chairman said he wanted to get a first hand impression so he could decide for himself. But Gandrud said he thought Trump’s speech lacked substance. Gandrud is now the leader of the Kasich campaign in California. He has tickets to the convention in Cleveland and still hopes to be a Kasich delegate.
