Arrest Made in Westside Stabbing

UPDATE: An arrest has been made in connection to a single stabbing on the 300 block of Micheltorena Street.

The suspect is an adult male, he was arrested around 9:00 p.m. Friday evening.

The victim of the stabbing lives in the apartment building where in the altercation took place and is in critical condition at Cottage Hospital.

We will update this story when more information becomes available.

ORIGINAL: Santa Barbara police converged in the 300 block of W. Micheltorena Street just after 8:30 p.m. Friday for a reported stabbing.

Witnesses described the scene as very bloody. A victim was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for medical treatment. The Heath status of that person is unknown at this time.

Authorities have closed off the immediate area with yellow caution tape and are looking for a male suspect, described as being Hispanic with a goatee and about 5 feet 8 inches tall.

At one point, investigators combed through a residence looking for evidence. No one has been arrested at this time.
