San Luis Obispo Man Faces Child Porn Charges
San Luis Obispo resident, 38-year-old Stephen Joseph Lemus, was arrested at his home in the 2500 block of Johnson Avenue Wednesday morning on child pornography charges.
Detectives with the SLO Police Department received information that someone at that residence was in possession of child porn. They served a search warrant at that location and discovered several images and videos of children under the age of 18 engaged in various sexual acts.
Police say that some of these victim children appeared to be as young as four years old. Authorities were not able to identify any of the adults in the images due to the way the photographs were taken.
All the evidence recovered from the residence belonged to Lemus who was home at the time, and was promptly taken into custody, according to police.
Lemus is charged with Possession of Child Pornography and was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail. Bail was set at $50,000.
Police will conduct more forensic research on various electronic devices, but at this time, do not believe anyone else living inside that home had any knowledge of Lemus’ activities.
