UPDATE: Grammy Nominated Needtobreathe Adds Second Performance Night

A big announcement from Kids Helping Kids, the non-profit group run by AP Economic students at San Marcos High School: Due to popular demand from the community, Grammy-nominated contemporary group Needtobreathe has agreed to perform a second benefit concert.

This will be the eighth annual “Kids Helping Kids” concert.

The alternative/southern rock group has been on the Ellen Show, Late Show with David Letterman and Conan O’brien.

The band members include Bear Rinehart, Bo Rinehart, Seth Bolt and Josh Lovelace.

Their hit song “Multiplied” is nominated for a Grammy in the Best Contemporary Christian Music Song category. They’ve also won ten Gospel Music Awards.

The supporting act will be JOHNNYSWIM. The singer-song writers from Nashville include Amanda Sudano and Abner Ramirez. They’ve appeared on the Tonight Show.

Other big name artists have performed at the Kids Helping Kids concerts, including Sara Barielles, Andy Grammer and Ingrid Michelson.

Tickets for the newly added concert — Friday, January 8th — will be available Friday, October 30 at 10 a.m. at the Granada Theatre box office and on its website.

Tickets for Saturday’s concert on January 9th are sold-out.

Needtobreathe takes the stage each of those nights at 7:15 p.m.
