Police Investigating Stabbing of Oxnard Resident

A 50-year-old Oxnard resident was found suffering from a stab wound to his abdomen early Tuesday morning, and police are investigating the incident hoping to make an arrest.

At about 2 a.m., the victim was heard yelling in the 1500 block of South Oxnard Boulevard. Officers contacted him as he walked in the area of Commercial Avenue and Oxnard Boulevard. That’s when they noticed the victim was bleeding from what they called a “serious” stab wound.

The victim was not able to give any details to police about the incident or the suspect. He was taken to Ventura County Medical Center and is reportedly in stable condition.

Police are searching for any witnesses that may have seen the crime. If you or anyone you know has information regarding this incident, you are encouraged to call the Violent Crimes Hotline at 805-982-7070, or contact the Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
