Sketch Released Of Man Accused Of Harassing Girls
Police need your help to find a man who they say is harassing girls as they walk to school. The most recent attack happened last Tuesday at La Canada Avenue and San Simeon Avenue in South Oxnard.
Authorities have released a sketch of the man they say attacked a girl walking to school. But police say this is not the first girl this man has attacked.
Police spokesperson Miguel Lopez says, “The suspect was approaching young females and asking them for directions, once the young females would get near the vehicle the man would expose himself. So this actual case is the first one where there was contact between the suspect and the victim.”
Now they need your help to catch and arrest him before he strikes again.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male, 20’s to late 30’s, 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build, short dark hair and a thin beard. Police say he was driving a gray or silver four-door sedan with tinted windows when he approached his victims.
None of the girls were hurt, but they were shaken up.

Police advise parents to talk to their children about what to do in a dangerous situation.
“We want parents to talk to them, so they know that if they ever find themselves in danger to yell for help and draw attention to themselves and hopefully catch the attention of an adult or someone nearby,” said Lopez.
