Fatal Accident Claims Life Of Bicyclist Near Cuesta College

A male bicyclist was killed early Wednesday afternoon after colliding with a white pick-up truck on Highway 1 at Hollister Road.

The bike rider was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.

The accident happened at 1:20 p.m. in front of the Cuesta College campus, forcing the closure of the Hollister Road entrance until approximately 5:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.

Drivers are encouraged to use the Education Drive or O’Connor Way entrances to campus.

Officials with the Cuesta College Department of Public Safety say the victim has not yet been identified.
