Dump Truck Lands on Roof After Car Crash

California Highway Patrol officers are investigating a crash between a Honda Accord and a dump truck carrying sand.

The accident happened just after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Foxen Canyon and Dominion Road in Santa Maria.

Dorlace Fox and her husband were stuck in traffic for 30 minutes as crews worked to investigate and clear the scene.

Emergency crews found the dump truck on it’s roof.

Officials said two patients were taken to Marian Regional Medical Center and treated for minor and moderate injuries.

The cause of the accident is unknown, but officers say “drugs and alcohol are not a factor.”
