Firefighters Battle Blaze at Lopez Lake

Fire crews are responding to a wildland fire at Lopez Lake in San Luis Obispo County Sunday afternoon, according to Cal Fire SLO.

The fire was reported just after 4:30 p.m. at the peninsula of Lopez Lake.

Cal Fire crews mounted an air attack to quickly douse the flames.

According to California Highway Patrol officials assisting at the scene, the fire is at about three acres in size, and shows no signs of growing.

No structures are reported threatened and no injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
