Carpinteria Schools Welcomes 2300 Students for 2015 Year

Carpinteria students have finished their first week of the new school year.

The district started classes Monday, a few days ahead of some other local school districts.

There are 2300 students between kindergarten and high school with nine schools total, including a small campus in Summerland.

The district also provides early childhood programs to children three months to four years old.
