McCann Enjoying Solid Rookie Season for Tigers
Two months into his rookie season, James McCann has already hit two memorable home runs. His first big league homer was an inside-the-park homer in Minnesota and then on May 21, he belted a walk-off game-winner in the 11th inning to beat Houston.
The 2008 Dos Pueblos High School graduate says he is living his dream of playing in the Major Leagues.
He is hitting .284 and has been playing everyday for the past several weeks due to an injury to the Tigers starting catcher Alex Avila.
