Armed Robbery at Payless Shoe Source in Paso Robles

Paso Robles police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Payless Shoe Source store in the 100 block of Niblick Road on Sunday.

Investigators said the suspect appeared to be shopping and then approached the counter as though he was going to purchase an item. It was at that point where the suspect lifted up his shirt revealing a handgun in his waistband, and demanded money from the employee. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police describe the suspect as a white male adult in his 30’s, 5 feet 10 inches, 240 pounds, clean shaven with blonde colored hair. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and gray cargo style shorts.

Authorities said the suspect fled in a white 4-door sedan westbound on Niblick Road.
