Oscar Winner Patricia Arquette Dishes On ‘CSI: Cyber’
STUDIO CITY, Calif. – It’s an exciting time for CBS stations across the country as we gear up to launch the new show, “CSI: Cyber.”
In it, Oscar winner Patricia Arquette is Special Agent Avery Ryan – a cyber psychologist for the FBI.
“I’m kind of a low tech person, so this is very different than me, this character,” she said.
But in the past couple of months, Patricia’s become a lot more savvy – with every episode storyline stemming from a different kind of internet crime. She says learning about these extra things happening in the cyber world makes her paranoid.
“It makes me long for Little House on the Prairie,” she laughed. “Get your bonnet! Put our apron on! It’s funny, when I grew up, we had this idea of what the future was gonna be like – someday we’ll be able to walk around and talk on the phone at
the same time. We’ve caught up with the future, we’ve met it. Now we’re in the unknown next future.”
“‘I’m a pro with the lingo. I can throw lingo around like nobody’s
business,” said star James Van Der Beek. “My keyboard skills are not caught up to my lingo skills, but at least I sound like I know what im doing.”
Van Der Beek, Shad Moss, Charley Koontz and Hayley Kiyoko all team up with Patricia – making it a CSI like no other.
“I mean the first episode that we all did with each other, I felt like – there’s some really cool chemistry going on here,” Arquette said.
They’re having a ton of fun – especially with Patricia in the spotlight this awards season. Her role in the movie, ‘Boyhood’ led to an Oscar win, plus wins at the Golden Globes, SAG awards and plenty more.
“It’s awesome man,” Van Der Beek said. “I mean talk about a year to be involved in working with Patricia Arquette.”
“We go home, we watch her on the late night shows and we watch all the Entertainment Tonight stuff and it’s just really been exciting to watch her do this,” Koontz said.
Now, with the premiere of their show just a week away, the excitement is higher than ever, especially for Shad, since it lands just days before his birthday. He says he’s planning a viewing party and birthday party on the same night!
“I told the fellas – everybody come to my house and we’ll have some wine and we can just tweet the fans and be active on the night of the premiere but yea everyone’s excited man we cant wait.”
