Santa Barbara Resident Tony Denunzio Pleads Guilty
A man who once accused Santa Barbara police of brutality pleaded guilty Monday to resisting a peace officer in a separate case.
The Santa Barbara District Attorney’s Office said Tony Denunzio seriously hurt a Harbor Patrol officer during an incident last May.
Denunzio pleaded guilty.
He was involved in a DUI arrest at Loreto Plaza in Santa Barbara back in October of 2011. That incident was caught on tape and accusations of police brutality emerged. The case was settled out of court.
Denunzio will be sentenced on March 5th.
