Santa Maria Shooting Victim Still Recovering
As of Thursday, the Santa Maria teenager shot on Wednesday is still being treated for his injury.
The shooting happened on the 1600 block of North Pine Street just before 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say the 16 year-old boy, sustained non-life threatening injuries. The victim was airlifted to Cottage Hospital.
Officers believe the shooting to be gang related.
Investigators say they have interviewed a few witnesses but believe there are more neighbors that saw what happened and they’re asking anyone with additional information to contact them.
