CHP Memorial Sign Involved in Hit-and-Run

California Highway Patrol officers are looking for a driver that crashed into a memorial sign on the highway.

Officials said the driver of a black Ford Fusion collided with a newly erected sign on Highway 154 just before noon on Wednesday.

The sign was dedicated to fallen CHP Officer James C. O’Connor. The vehicle fled the scene immediately. However, the right side mirror was torn from the car during the collision and remained at the scene.
