UCSB Blows Out UC Irvine
Sometimes it is how you start.
UCSB opened up on a 13-0 run and never trailed in an 80-60 thrashing over UC Irvine. The result left both teams 4-2 and tied with Long Beach State for first place in the Big West Conference.
Alan Williams scored a team-high 26 points with 10 rebounds and Taran Brown made all five of his three-pointers to finish with 16 points.
UCSB led 34-24 at the half and began the second half on a 14-4 run to put the game away.
The Gauchos host UC Davis on Saturday at 4 p.m.
