Oxnard Police Explorers Take Home Four Trophies at National Competition

The Oxnard Police Department’s Explorers program is rapidly growing.

The program now has 47 members, making it the largest program in the state of California.

These young men and women are learning what it is like to have a career in law enforcement.

Not only are they learning the purpose, mission and objectives of a career in law enforcement but they are also receiving hands-on training.

Twelve members from the Oxnard Police Department’s Explorers program participated in a national competition in Chandler, Arizona in January.

At the competition the Oxnard team took home four first- and second-place trophies.
