Montecito Water District Calls For Water Conservation

State Public Health officers identified 17 towns and districts, including some in nearby Kern County, that could run out of water in the next 100 days.

Montecito Water District’s General Manager Tom Mosby is concerned about that, too– Mosby said people who have invested in their landscaping need to cut back on water use. Monday notices will go to 3,700 accounts warning customers about drought conditions. Board members will also consider declaring an emergency when they meet Feb. 11.
