Santa Ynez heat wave

During this weekend’s heat wave it will be more important to stay hydrated.

Search and rescue teams say if you are going to be active outside make sure to listen to your body.

The most common symptoms of a possible heat emergency are dizziness, throbbing headache, nausea, and fatigue.

The quickest way to cool your body down is to lay flat on your back and elevate your legs.

The best way to stay hydrated is to drink at least a half a cup of water every other hour.

If you decide to be active outdoors this weekend it’s important to have sporting drinks such as Gatorade, to help replace the salts in your body.
