Convicted killers get life in prison

Rhonda Wisto and her son Jacob York are going to spend the rest of their lives behind bars.

Wednesday morning a San Luis Obispo County Superior Court Judge sentenced both of them to life in prison without the possibility of parole. A jury found them guilty of murdering 15-year-old Dystiny Myers in 2010.

Myers’ grandmother, Kathy Clark said she forgives the people who killed the young girl, but the family will always be in mourning.

“I think the last 33 months have probably been the longest, longest days of my life. This is a picture of my granddaughter. This is Dystiny. She’s a very vibrant young lady. She was full of life, she was full of love,” said Clark.

The teen’s mother was not as forgiving.

“I do not forgive you at all and may you rot,” said Aileen Myers.

Wisto and York have sixty days to appeal the judge’s sentencing.
