National Observance of “Welcome Home Vietnam Veteran’s Day”

Today dozens of Vietnam War veterans, their families as well as veterans from other wars observed the national commemoration of “Welcome Home Vietnam Veteran’s Day” Congress enacted back in 2006. Vietnam Veteransof America Local 218 lead the way in today’s celebration. Colors were posted, President Peter Bie who served two tours of duty in Vietnam welcomed Brig. Gen. Frederick Lopez who offered remarks.

More than 58,000 men and women were sacrificed during the Vietnam War. However it’s believed their lives and service to country will never be forgotten.
