New Details About Santa Barbara Int’l Film Festival
SANTA BARBARA – The Executive Director of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival made a surprise announcement on Newschannel Three Wednesday morning. Sally Field will be in town Saturday night to present Daniel Day-Lewis the Montecito award for his title role in “Lincoln.” Field played Lincoln’s wife in the film.Dozens of local restaurants are hoping to cash in on all the fanfare with special “Film Feast” menus.Opal Restaurant and Bar is offering a special selection of local wines and drinks named after the movies and actors that will be featured at the festival.The owner of Opal, Tina Takaya said “we have Inception, we have Enchanted with Amy Adams, we have The Inception with Leonardo Dicaprio… the list goes on and it’s fun.”Enterprise Fish Co. will offer a special drink called “A Fish Called Wanda” and a special three course menu.Enterprise manager Maia Stier told Newschannel Three “it includes our lobster special which is always very popular it is all sustainable. And, we are partnering with the Spanish Garden with a night stay and dinner for two.Casa Blanca, which has only been open for 1 years is hoping to attract film goers with their selection of over 100 types of tequila and a special menu. Casa Blanca owner Adam White said “the film festival is a great opportunity to showcase the restaurant. Our chef, Onofre Zungia has put together a really nice three course menu for $29.95 with an appetizer.
