The Growing Trend of Early Voting

Santa Barbara- Election day may be November 6th, but Americans in 30 states are already starting to vote. More than 46 million people are expected to vote early this year. In Santa Barbara County, Election Officials anticipate more voters casting their ballots by mail, than going to a polling place, but not by a huge amountIn 2008, 30 percent of all votes in the Presidential race were cast before election day. Experts project that could increase to 35%. While some love the convenience of vote by mail, many others say they enjoy the Election day experience at the polls.
