UCSB women’s basketball adopts 2nd grader with brain cancer

ISLA VISTA, Calif. - The UCSB women's basketball team adopted a 2nd grade girl from Goleta on Monday who was diagnosed with brain cancer.
Alanna Watson is a 2nd grader at Kellogg Elementary School.
She is a lover of basketball and the UCSB team took her as their own with the help of the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation.
Alanna was gifted a jersey, shoes and an autographed basketball by the team.
She will be a captain at their game on Saturday.
