Disneyland Resort to begin phased reopening

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Disneyland is celebrating their 65th anniversary by reopening the park on July 17. The Downtown Disney District will begin reopening on July 9, and Resort hotels, Disney's Grand Californian and Paradise Pier, plan to reopen on July 23.
The phased reopening will see smaller crowds as the park capacity has been limited. In order to visit, guests will need to obtain a reservation for their visit, including Annual Passholders. There will be a pause on new ticket sales and Annual Pass sales and renewals.
The Resort has announced new health and safety measures, though those specifics have not been announced. When Shanghai Disneyland reopened on May 11, safety measures included physical distancing in lines, extra sanitizing, newly installed hand sanitizers, personal protective equipment (PPE) for cast members, and training for cast members.
Parades and nighttime shows, including the brand new 'Magic Happens' parade, fireworks, and 'World of Color', will not be reopening yet. Character meet and greets are also suspended, though according to the Resort, characters will be in the parks under new guidelines.
"Disneyland holds a special place in the hearts of people around the world. It was created as a place where family members of all ages could have fun together – a place to “leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy.” Sixty-five years later it still is.
It's time for magic -- and we look forward to welcoming you back."
