Annual Holiday Parade to return to Goleta

Goleta Lions Club

GOLETA, Calif. -- The 4th Annual Goleta Holiday Parade is set to return in December.

The parade will take place on December 11 at 6 p.m. on Hollister Avenue in Old Town Goleta.

The parade is returning after being cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The parade will include community organizations, schools, nonprofits, youth sports teams and community members.

“Throughout the duration of my involvement as a councilmember, I have rarely seen an event that warmed the hearts of all our community members as much as the Goleta Holiday Parade. It is important to generate continued support for this event and keep spirits and cheer alive this holiday season," said Roger Aceves, Goleta Councilmember and parade sponsor.

The Goleta Lions Club is partnering with the City of Goleta and other community sponsors to present the event.

Event organizers say the route will be from Orange Avenue to Goleta Valley Community Center.

There are a variety of sponsorship levels available including North Pole Sponsorships at $3000, Reindeer Sponsorships at $1000, or Candy Cane Sponsorships at $500. The sponsorship will fund parade expenses and local youth projects.

Parade organizers say they will follow Public Health and CDC recommendations to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
