Grover Beach telling residents “We Got This!” in new social media campaign
GROVER BEACH, Calilf. -- A new Grover Beach social media campaign is telling residents, "We Got This!"
It's part of the recently created "#GBTogether" campaign the city has unveiled to help promote unity within the community during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
As part of the effort, the city is providing residents and businesses free yard signs that display the words, "Grover Beach We Got This!" and "#GBtogether."
The city said it has made about 300 signs, with more on the way.
"We know how difficult it is to be apart from friends and family right now, when you can't be together," said mayor Jeff Lee in a Facebook video post. "We wanted to show that we are staying apart, but we are also together."
The mayor also added, "When you are out and about, wear a mask, stay safe, and we'll see you on the other side."
The signs are available at several locations, including City Hall, Grover Beach Community Center, Ramona Garden Park and 16th Street Park, Grover Heights Park, Hero Park and Mentone Basin Park.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to proudly display the colorful signs and post photos to social media using #GBtogether.
The city said submitted photos using #GBtogether would be shared on the city's official social media accounts.
