The Page Youth Center has partnered with the Santa Barbara County Foodbank to collect peanut butter for people in need.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Food Bank of Santa Barbara County announced that it is hosting a peanut butter drive in connection to National Peanut Butter Day with the Page Youth Center.

The Peanut Butter Drive came together when the Page Youth Center decided to help the efforts of the Food Bank in any way they could.

The Center asked the Food Bank which items were in highest demand. The Food Bank reported that peanut butter was, in fact, one of their big-ticket items!

As a result, the Peanut Butter Drive was born and will be hosted throughout the coming week -- starting the day after National Peanut Butter Day.

The drive will begin on Saturday, Jan. 25, and will end the following weekend on Feb. 1.

For the drive, the organizations ask that community members donate a jar of peanut butter during the Blender's Basketball League games which will take place in the Youth Center throughout the week.

Donations will be collected in the Youth Center lobby.

The Page Youth Center is located at 4540 Hollister Avenue
in Santa Barbara.
