FILLMORE, Calif. - A special train ride brought some early holiday cheer for families of firefighters in Los Angeles and Ventura County Fire Departments.

THE POLAR EXPRESS Train Ride hosted families from the L.A. Fire Department and Ventura County Fire Department to complimentary rides.

This past weekend, about 200 families from both departments joined THE POLAR EXPRESS Train Ride cast in Fillmore for a trip to the North Pole to meet Santa.

The families received complimentary tickets from the train as a thank you for the hard work and dedication the first responders have shown their communities this fire season.

“We hope this experience helps brighten the Christmas season for some of our local first responders and shows them how much we appreciate their hard work and bravery,” said John Harper, President of Rail Events Inc.
