Combat veteran cycles from DC into Santa Barbara for Project Hero
A combat veteran cycled into Santa Barbara this weekend.
Mark Guiterrez is cycling across the country to raise awareness and funds for Project Hero.
The nonprofit benefits veterans and first responders struggling with traumatic brain injury and post traumatic stress disorder.
“The cross-country tour is very much about saying thank you to those who do so much to keep us safe,” said Gutierrez.
He started in Washington, DC, in May, and has now covered over 5,000 miles.
