Young great white sharks spotted off Carpinteria beach
CARPINTERIA, Calif. - Five juvenile great white sharks were captured on video Saturday morning swimming off the coast of Carpinteria.
Mike Eliason with Santa Barbara County Fire posted the drone video on Twitter.
He said the sharks were swimming just past the breaking waves at Santa Claus Beach.

Eliason explained the area is frequented by great whites and well known for being a nursery habitat for young sharks.
There, the sharks can feed on stingrays and other small prey while they grow to their full adult size.
