Wedding Dreams Take Shape at Santa Barbara Bridal Expo
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Brides are arriving with dreams of walking down the aisle in white.
“I am so excited to be in my fiancé era, and being here makes it all seem more real,” said Remi Norton, who got engaged in December 2024.
At a bridal expo in Santa Barbara, brides smiled ear to ear as they planned their big day. “We're getting married on Nov. 15, 2025,” said Josie Martinez, who is tying the knot in Santa Maria.
“My wedding day is Nov. 29, 2025,” said Griselda Vargas, who is getting married in Arroyo Grande. “I'm looking forward to having my whole family together in one room and enjoying quality time — exactly what every bride wishes for.”
The wedding industry has blossomed in recent years, thanks to social media. According to The Knot, 91% of wedding planning is done online.
The expo featured a variety of vendors, from those offering the perfect wedding cake to those showcasing ideal venues.
“Big Pond Ranch offers brides the opportunity to host weddings, bridal showers, bachelorette parties and special wine events and dinners,” said Doreen Eyman of Big Pond Ranch.
Many grooms joined their brides for the day of planning and even spoke with Men's Wearhouse about finding the perfect tuxedo.
“We're convenient because we're all over the country. Not only do we have a store on State Street in Santa Barbara — one in Oxnard and one in San Luis Obispo — but you can have your groomsmen fitted anywhere, and the suit will be delivered free of charge,” said Hannahlulu Breschard of Men's Wearhouse.
