Completion of Betteravia Road project boosts local businesses at Enos Ranch
The recently completed Betteravia road project is bringing a boost in business to the Enos Ranch development in Santa Maria.
Since the completion of the $900 thousand traffic improvement
project, manager Juan Balenzuela who drives on Betteravia to get to work every day is seeing an impact in more ways than one.
“Since they finished the construction we have seen much better traffic.
it's not as congested as it was before,” Balenzuela said.
In addition, balenzuela who is the district manager of the Habit Burger
said in just the past few months since the project's completion, the number
of customers coming in has risen by 2 to 3 percent.
City leaders said the project was intended to reduce traffic congestion,
minimize delays, and improve overall flow at the northbound on-ramp and
southbound off-ramp.
“I'm
delighted. Having easy freeway access on a big road where
all your
customers can find you is important to every type of business,”
said spokesperson Mark van de Kamp of the City of Santa Maria.
The
Betteravia Road corridor is currently the busiest
roadway in the
city.
“This is one of the reasons why we have expanded
and improved Betteravia and
that interchange so people have easy
access to get into our beautiful
community and shop at these newer
stores and explore the rest of Santa
Maria and increase the
commerce,” van de Kamp said.
The Betteravia road
currently gets an average of 38,500 vehicles every day.
That number is expected to grow as construction crews build new car dealerships and an elementary school.
