VENTURA, Calif. - Ventura is offering an opportunity for residents to give back this holiday season by becoming a "Santa to a Senior".

Anyone wishing to spread some holiday cheer can drop by Ventura City Hall this week.

City Officials have set up a Christmas tree display covered in paper ornaments which can be found outside of room 226.

On each ornament is a different gift idea for a senior.

Those who want to participate can choose one of the gift ideas, buy the gift and return it to City Hall by next Monday, Dec. 9. The gift does not have to be wrapped.

All of the gifts received will be given to each of the 150 people that participate in the Ventura Avenue Adult Center Senior Nutrition Program this Christmas.
