New pop-up market showcases local artisans

Good Market

A new pop-market called Good Market showcased ethically sourced products by local artisans in Santa Barbara this weekend.

The focus is to raise awareness about the positive impact our consumer dollars can have around the world.

Many of the artisans were previously disenfranchised from the greater world economy.

This is an opportunity for them to collaborate and open up sustainable employment.

“We brought seven vendors in to sell products that have treated the artisan who made the products with as much as honor as we can give them so this is a celebration of the artisans who produced the beautiful goods that they've made,” said organizer Christy Mark.

Vendors represented at the Good Market included Because of Hope, Trades of Hope and 1951 Coffee.
