Santa Barbara couple offers $100,000 to Unity Shoppe

An extremely generous donation is coming in to the Unity Shoppe, along with an urgent, public week-long challenge.

Diana and Simon Raab were sad to hear the news about the Shoppe’s temporary closure of its Family Services program.

So, through the Santa Barbara couple’s charitable trust, (she’s an award-winning author; he’s a renown artist and entrepreneur) they’re offering to donate up to $100,000, as a challenge match; again, for one week.

The announcement was made Monday, September 30, through the Unity Shoppe and marked the kick-off date.

Diana Raab issued the following statement.

“We are hoping everyone in the community will give whatever they can to show their support of what Unity Shoppe has done to help so many for over 100 years. We cannot let it disappear into a deep dark hole!” Raab wrote.

Checks can be delivered or mailed to: 1209 State Street or donated online.
