Santa Barbara County Foodbank boosts efforts to help families at next Lompoc food distribution
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Santa Barbara County Foodbank is teaming up with local resources to help families in need at the next food distribution in Lompoc this Saturday.
Managers with the foodbank says 68 percent of children in Lompoc are from socioeconomically disadvantaged families.
The foodbank will be partnering with several agencies including Domestic Violence Solutions, the Public Health Department and CaliDental to help making Lompoc a healthier community.
This is the first time the foodbank is offering these services during its biggest Lompoc monthly food distribution.
The food distribution serves an average of 300 families every month.
This unique opportunity will be held at the monthly food distribution this Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Lompoc High School.
