PASO ROBLES, Calif. - The closure of Paso Robles Joint Unified Schools has been extended to at least May 16, 2020.

The district is monitoring the situation and is basing this decision on guidance from the San Luis Obispo County Health Department.

If the SLO County Health Department makes the announcement, on or about May 1, that they are extending the shelter-at-home order beyond May 16, then the district will immediately announce that schools are closed through the end of the school year, which is June 4, 2020.

However, if county health officials announce the order is lifted on or about May 16, then the district will evaluate the reopening of schools on or about May 18 - June 4.

PRJUSD's distance learning program will continue, ensuring students continue their education.
