Eighth COVID-19 death reported in Santa Barbara County

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - An eighth person has died from COVID-19 in Santa Barbara County.

The eighth death was announced during the county's Wednesday coronavirus press briefing.

This latest death was a person in their 60s who lived in Santa Maria, according to Santa Barbara County Public Health Director Van Do Reynoso.

There have been 485 cases if COVID-19 in Santa Barbara County. 360 people are considered recovered, but 33 people are hospitalized with 11 people in the ICU.
