Baby rescued from Highway 56 in New Mexico

CLAYTON, New Mexico (KOAT) — The New Mexico Department of Transportation worked to clear a highway in northeast New Mexico. More than 25 vehicles were stopped on U.S. Highway 56 Tuesday afternoon.
The youngest stranded person was a 4-month-old baby, according to NMDOT. Snowplow clews spent hours to safely clear the highway. All the vehicles were able to drive from the spot near Clayton.
