Son assults father with deadly weapon in Paso Robles

A son is behind bars after assaulting his father with a lamp Sunday in Paso Robles.

Paso Robles Police responded to a 9-1-1 call in the 600 block of Moss Ave for a report of a physical fight between two males. When officers arrived at the residence, they did not find any signs of disturbance, and no one answered the door.

A few minutes later, officers were dispatched to an area church where they found a 63-year old victim with multiple injuries to his face and torso.

Officers learned that that 38-year old Matthew Mallow had allegedly attacked his father with a lamp after not being able to locate his mother. Mallow’s father was able to escape after suffering non-life threatening injuries.

Mallow was arrested and transport to County Jail on the charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
