X Games California: July 21 – July 23 at Ventura County Fairgrounds

VENTURA, Calif. - Heads up and a travel alert for a major event coming to our coast, a week from today.

The final weekend of X Games California action kicks off Friday, July 21 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. The event runs through Sunday, July 23.

Preparations got underway at the beginning of the month.

ESPN devoted significant resources to this international gathering of action sport athletes 30 years ago.

More than 150 skateboard, BMX and Moto-X athletes will compete that weekend, going for the gold!

Drivers can expect traffic to be very challenging across Highway 101 and along sides streets throughout Ventura and neighboring communities, similar to what many drivers experienced the recent Strawberry Festival at the Ventura County Fairgrounds.
