Ventura County Fire Department responding to brush fire
OJAI, Calif. – Ventura County Fire Department has stopped the forward progress of a 20-acre brush fire alongside Highway 33 (N. Ventura Avenue) after a traffic accident in the area.
As of 6:41 p.m., Ventura County Fire Department have stopped the forward progress of the fire.

According to Ventura County Fire Department, threats to surrounding structures have been mitigated as approximately 80 firefighters are on the scene.
Traffic control for both north and southbound drivers is in effect and Highway 33 is closed between Tico Road and Hermosa Road detail California Highway Patrol.
Ventura County Fire Department has deployed a variety of units in their response including two air tankers and a dozer.
