President Biden to visit Central California Coast on Jan. 19
CENTRAL COAST, Calif. – President Joe Biden will travel to the Central Coast of California on Thursday, Jan. 19, to observe storm damage according to the White House's Press Office.
Exact details of the President's itinerary are not final, but Biden plans to meet first responders, state and local officials and communities impacted by a series of heavy rainstorms.

On Sunday, Jan. 15, a major disaster was declared in three California counties making federal disaster response resources available for recovery efforts.
California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency on Jan. 4 and, more recently, signed an executive order to accelerate the state's response.
