Kenny Loggins celebrates his home with Adam’s Angels guests and volunteers on Christmas Day

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.-It's not everyday those less fortunate get to see Kenny Loggins play without a concert ticket, but those who stayed for the final performance at |Adam's Angels Christmas celebration at the Veterans Memorial Building in Santa Barbara enjoyed every minute.

"To see a legend like Kenny Loggins on Christmas day, for me as a homeless person who doesn't have anything, it is just a gift from god," said Shelly.

Other bands including The Traveling Hertados performed too.

"This is better than any gift that you can wrap in paper," said Adam's Angel's Melissa Borders.

The nonprofit that is not connected to a church or governor agency is named after founder Adam McKaig.

"We could be at home opening presents, but we have a better present by opening up the veterans building to all," said McKaig.

Volunteers including emcee Drew Wakefield said they are not there for the spotlight, they just want to help those who live on the streets or those who are down on their luck.

"That is what the Christmas spirit is; putting joy in people's hearts, putting smiles on their faces and of course saying Merry Christmas.

They served up 500 means with a side of love.

Santa was also on hand giving out gifts including sleeping bags, and tooth brushes.

Events like this aren't always held on the holiday, but organizers said they wanted to help their guests celebrate.

Loggins closed the show with "Celebrate Me Home, and while doing so celebrated his home by Adam's Angels' guests feel right at home are cared for on Christmas Day.
