Missing Somis woman found alive

Ventura County Sheriff’s Office reported Wednesday afternoon that 70-year-old Somis woman Judy Wurtz has been located alive in Somis.

Dispatch received a call reporting that Wurtz was located in an avocado orchard off of Old Balcom Canyon Road.

Dozens of volunteers turned out to search for Wurtz who had been missing for over four days.

Sheriff’s officials said they were preparing to airlift Wurtz to a local hospital for medical evaluation.
