Santa Paula man arrested for indecent exposure and battery

Santa Paula police arrested Kevin McCarty, 20, for allegedly exposing himself to at least one passenger on a bus.

The investigation began on October 12, 2016 when a 14-year old girl accused McCarty of touching her on the thigh during a bus ride from Ventura to Santa Paula. Police questioned McCarty and he was released.

Investigators quickly discovered McCarty had allegedly exposed his genitals to a 22-year old woman that same day on the same bus during a trip from Santa Paula to Ventura.

On Friday, October 21, officers obtained an arrest warrant for a misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure and battery. McCarty was arrested at his home.

Police said McCarty confessed during an interview. He was booked into the Ventura County Main Jail on $5,000 bail.
