Santa Barbara caregiving agency expanded to Solvang with ribbon-cutting ceremony

SOLVANG, Calif. – Complete Care at Home, an in-home caregiving agency that has served the Santa Barbara elderly for the past 18 years, expanded to a new office in Solvang with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Solvang Chamber of Commerce, local businesses, and clients, according to Complete Care at Home spokeswoman Jessica Brest.

Complete Care at Home was started in 2004 by a Santa Barbara nurse who had been working with elderly patients for more than 30 years. She pulled together a small RN-led team and worked to seek talented caregivers from across the country.

"Those caregivers were trained before being sent to patients’ homes, caring for them as they lost their ability to care for themselves," Brest said.

Complete Care started with a few clients and caregivers in the immediate Santa Barbara area, but now has more than 30 clients and around roughly 70 caregivers from Carpinteria to Los Olivos.

The agency moved into its first office in Santa Barbara in 2021, but with the exploding growth, it needed to open a second office for clients in the Santa Ynez Valley, Brest said.

The new office is located at 650 Alamo Pintado Road in Solvang.
