Sea Glass Festival this Weekend in Carpinteria

The first ever Carpinteria Sea Glass Festival is set for this weekend with treasures from the sea in an array of displays for the public.

Art, jewelry and loose sea glass pieces along with music, food and a variety of vendors will be at the event Saturday and Sunday. It will be held in the vacant building that once was the home of Austin’s Hardware at 700 Linden Avenue.

The Carpinteria coastline has long been a location where sea glass searchers have found colorful collectables. Some of the pieces could be decades old.
